3/11/10 -- Heavner to Become Youngest Pro Cup Rookie at Season Opener

LINCOLNTON, NC - (March 11th, 2010) -- Ryan Heavner is barely finished celebrating his 14th birthday, but the prospect of what is to come for the eight-year racing veteran is keeping his excitement high. USARacing Pro Cup Series officials informed Kirk May Racing today that Heavner has been approved to become the youngest driver in the series' storied history.

Heavner will be behind the wheel of the Kirk May-owned #14 Elite Collision Chevrolet for the full 16-race Pro Cup schedule this year.

“I would like to thank Kirk May Racing for this incredible opportunity, as well as McCallister Precision Marketing, Lawing Marble, Inc., and Triple H Diesel, Inc. for their support,” said the teen star.

The deal came to pass shortly after McCallister Precision Marketing became Heavner's sole marketing agency. McCallister is excited about the opportunity to be involved with the likes of May and Heavner.

“We are honored to represent a young talented racer like Ryan,” said Tonya McCallister, President of MPM. “We are thrilled that Ryan is signing with KMR. Kirk and Laura May are amazing individuals and anyone would be fortunate to drive for them. They have built an outstanding program that includes a highly experienced staff and top level equipment.”

Ryan racked up an impressive four wins in Pro Challenge Series competition last season, as well as 20 top-five and 25 top-ten performances. Having a total of 27 starts, the rising star ended the 2009 Pro Challenge season with a second-place finish in the championship standings and seventh spot in the national points.
